This is the annual Photography Conference for the <a href="http://www.ppa.com" target="blank">Professional Photographers of America, Inc.</a> (PPA). <br><br>It all started when 3 couples started out from Lubbock in Chris Duncan's brother's new 45 foot motor home. It is called a motor home but it was the size of a small house and furnished like a four-star hotel. We drove almost straight through to Phoenix.<br><br>This was the first time in many years we actually had time to sit in on many of the excellent programs by speakers from all over the world. Wow, what a learning experience. Photography has been turned inside out and offers everyone so many opportunities to create not only what they see but what is in their mind. We came back so excited with so many new ideas, many of which we have already started putting to use.<br><br>As soon as the convention was over, we headed to the Grand Canyon. Arriving about two hours before sunrise, some of us took a little catnap. As soon as the sun started rising we all grabbed our cameras and tripods and found our spots. It was breathtaking watching the sun slowly lighting up that magnifient canyon.
